Bed sheets, dish towels, and curtains were made from flour sacks.

Girls and women didn’t wear jeans or dress pants like they do now.

Nobody went to Taos or other cities to buy clothes. They would order from the Montgomery Ward or Chicago catalog.

Catalogs had a lot of uses. After the catalog was old it was used for toilet paper in the outhouse.

In 1965 we had a big department store owned by Weems.
